Our mission at Friday is to be a home for your company that integrates and complements tools like workplace chat. Before the pandemic, every company had a physical HQ. Now, every company needs a Digital HQ.
In the rest of this update, I'm going to share everything we've launched so far in 2022! Let's jump right in.
We rebuilt our search experience from scratch and you can now search across apps from a single interface, directly from Friday! Right now, we're focused on docs (Notion, Confluence, Drive, etc), but we'd like to expand this to other apps in the near future.
Now, you can use Friday to find that important doc or resource instead of bouncing around between tools. You can see how this works in the video below:
Do you have a home for the most important resources, standard operating procedures, and policies? Where do you outline and document your mission, vision, and values? Most organizations will write this down on a random page or inside a wiki (that no one uses), but this content can quickly get stale and out of date. Even worse, it's not visible for all to see.
What's the alternative?
We just launched a brand-new version of our Handbook add-on. This creates a single page for the most important information and resources for your company that's instantly accessible and in view. Even better, you can build out this page with dynamic, integrated widgets, many of which update on their own!
In other words, you can create a handbook for your company that updates itself. See how it works in the video:
In a work from anywhere world, leaders feel like they are shouting into the void. Oftentimes, this is because they are. Sure, you could send a company-wide email or ping the entire organization in Slack, but there are two major issues with this approach:
What do you do?
You should use Posts!
Posts is like an internal blog for your company that's integrated into Slack and email to maximize distribution. It's never been easier to share news, announcements, or longer-form communication with a team or the entire company.
Even better, you can see what percentage of your company has viewed the post. You can also resend a notification to people who haven't seen it yet, which is perfect for must-read announcements.
You can see how this works in the video below:
Finally, your team can leave emoji reactions and comments on the post, so you have a nice feedback loop built-in!
Finally, we are excited to announce that you can now upload your own company logo and color palette to make Friday feel like your own internal piece of software! You can see how this works in the video below:
This feature is available for paid customers on the company plan.
We have several improvements and features in the works right now, like:
If you have feedback or ideas on how we can improve the product, feel free to drop us a note. We'd love to chat further! If you'd like a demo of how Friday can help your organization, please feel free to reach out.
